Before i start, i must warn the reader that i am not a review writer. then why i write this review? simply because i received an email from ebay, that kindly asked me to write a review.
well, i liked this record very much. i bought it once, i listened to it twice, i liked most of it and then i made a copy and gave the original as a present to a friend of mine who is german speaking and likes hard stuff. then, some weeks later, i listened to the copied tunes, i still liked them and decided to buy a second original bierbeben for myself. that's the story about me and this record.
i will now try to be a bit more informative and objective. das bierbeben is a made-up word that describes an alcoholic's tremor when he is in need for a beer. alles faellt, means everything falls. the record has an electro-punk sound and mostly german lyrics that speak about love, death and society. the female singer of the group delivers the lyrics in a very attractive manner. the overal feeling is dark and the beat is strong (emphatic bass and hints of electric guitar) and quite danceable for my taste.
if you like stuff like new order, lali puna and gudrun gut, i think that you'll enjoy this one. it is, in my opinion, one of the best records of 2006 and i would give it four and a half stars if i could. nikos tasoulas, athens, greece.
