Nice affordable calibrator
It features robust construction, is simple to use, and is relatively inexpensive, all of which are very attractive attributes. Of course the most interesting question is how stable and accurate is it. After all if a calibration instrument is unstable or inaccurate it is of greatly diminished usefulness. Unfortunately, without access to another sound level meter or calibrator which has been recently calibrated by a proper provider, I do not know how to answer this question for the particular unit which I purchased. I believe these devices were widely used, so they likely had the requisite stability. But if an individual unit had been dropped or suffered some other misadventure the calibrator itself may be in need of recalibration. Alas, this is the story for any instrumentation use that requires a high degree of accuracy.
