A little piece of theatre history
Ok let's start by just saying this book is awsome. Your mind will boggle as page after page shows crazy theatrical design images.
1000 airplanes was not a long running show, and chances are it won't be produced any time soon, again. This show accounts the one man diary of a person abducted by aliens. The original music was written by Phillip Glass and Linda Ronstat performed it on Broadway.
The cool thing about the photos is that it shows the best use of the satge design. A white wall and white raked stage, with slide images projected on it. One point our hero is sitting on the door of his NYC aparment and next he's running in a sphere.

Awesome Cast recording/Studio Album
Awesome Cast recording/Studio Album - Cy Coleman created and released this CD album with the concept of the old days when Broadway Shows would have great singers of Standards record them on for radio airplay, and then it would gain $ and interest in the show BEFORE it was released. That's how this was done. It came out years before the show ever saw Broadway. Keep in mind, this was years before things like Spotify and Pandora ever existed.
