STANLEY GIBBONS COMMONWEALTH STAMP CATALOGUE - INDIA 5th Ed
May 01, 2018
Essential guide book
The Stanley Gibbons single country catalogue is an essential reference for collecting the very popular India and the various states. One should have this book to see the varieties , shades and watermarks in the different issues. This is my first full country Stanley Gibbons Catalogue and I didn't know what to expect. I wished it had more in it, that's why I had to give four stars. The back of the book sections about revenue issues and postal stationary are lacking although there is some special mentions about postmarks. The official sections are good. It covers extensive die varieties with good illustration. There is not as much cover information as I expected. It doesn't have everything that I was interested in , but it has an adequate amount of info for the general collector. I am glad I purchased the book and refer to it quite frequently.
