Thing for Flying (Clanger Books) by Postgate, Oliver Hardback Book The Cheap

Wonderful picture book
A must for any fan of Clangers old and new. The original 1960s television puppets are photographed for reproduction in this large format book, rather like an annual but one that tells a complete story. The tale is told by original series writer Oliver Postgate, and the colour photo spreads are alternated throughout with black and white line drawings by the series co-creator Peter Firmin. The text is simple and clear, ideal for young children and the photographs are a delight for the older fan - a perfect way to relive a childhood favourite. There are two other Clangers books in this format that I know of, 'Major Clanger's Rocket' and 'The Iron Egg'.
