My first few sales on eBay were in the mid 90's when you could send a check through the mail, and a couple weeks later you'd receive the item you won at auction. "Buy It Now" hadn't been thought up yet, let alone paying for your item and shipping online. I made a few sales for a little extra spending money, but moved on after college to other endeavors.

Today, after finishing up a career in public service, I've caught the itch again, and am glad I'm able to add a little extra money each month to our family budget by "treasure hunting" at yard sales, estate sales, Marketplace, flea markets, and thrift stores. I'm always seeking out hidden value in obscure, vintage, antique, and new items. If you're looking for something hard to find, eBay has been the place to find it for decades, and I'm helping keep that tradition alive.
