I'm a semi-retired aerospace engineer that's transitioned to a Jack-of-all-trade, allowing myself to master many things. I mainly sell new to barely used items that I've hoarded & acquired through trades over time for my countless vehicle projects; Alas @ 60 +, I've since had to slow down. So I've set a goal to prioritize & eliminate projects that are meandering on the "back-burner", giving rise to many items that I've chosen to sell at a heavy discount over retail. Since I'm basically cutting my losses, most times you'll find my prices to be the most competitive on eBay; at my age I have greater interest in passing the savings forward then overpricing my items. So in full disclosure in terms of my sales, when all is said & done, subtracting eBay fees & actual shipping costs that have gone up, as both will often amount to > 50% of the net sale, for most items sold, my returns are typically $0.20-$0.30 on the dollar.
