    The Advance Ballast that I purchased is the exact replacement of existing which had lasted about 26 years. I installed the purchased item exactly as original had been - not really a complicated process. The first time I flipped the light switch there was a bit of a delay before the double 30W 36" florescence bulbs lit up. The lights did flicker a bit. I turned the switch off to clean up. Then they never illuminated again. So, I am replacing with bypass ballast LED's.
