Welcome to The Hitching Post Inn LLC. In the 1950s The Hitching Post Inn of Lorton, Virginia was a place where travelers could go while taking US. Route 1 before I-95 was available. They could stay in one of the single room cabins behind the main restaurant and living quarters. A delicious meal at the restaurant for under $2. You'll see the Inn captured in the painting in our profile. The proprietors were my grandparents- Dallas and Hilda Dowhower. I hope we can give you great items and service like the good 'ol days.
