About us
Welcome to the Duffy Archive eBay store. Duffy was a pioneering photographer, known for his iconic swinging sixties fashion for magazines such as Vogue, French Elle, Town, Queen, and Nova. Later, Duffy created perspective-bending advertisements for Smirnoff, Benson & Hedges, Tissot Watches and Clarks shoes whilst travelling the world with the Sunday Times, Telegraph & Observer photographing everyone from barbed wire collectors to Brigette Bardot!
In 1972, Duffy took some test shots as a favour for an old friend Tony Defries - A 25-year-old soon to be megastar David Bowie, weeks before his legendary Top of the Pops performance of Starman. This chance meeting led to an 8-year creative relationship resulting in the most iconic imagery of both their careers: Aladdin Sane.
The Duffy Archive is the home of Aladdin Sane. All our prints are made in-house, by hand. All our merchandise is official and licensed by David Bowie's estate.
