    Welcome to The Alpaca Shop UK, our family-run business based in Essex. We specialise in all things made from alpaca fleece & fibre, including socks, gloves, hats, scarves, garments, duvets, pillows, teddy bears, soft toys, throws, rugs, cushions, and much more. We offer alpaca-themed products too. All our products are new and of the highest quality. Many of our products are British-made and we also work closely with international partners to design and deliver high-quality alpaca products.
    Known as ‘the fibre of the Gods’, alpaca fibre is superfine and supersoft, it is also hard-wearing. As alpaca does not contain lanolin, it is suitable for allergy sufferers. The constitution of the fibres, being very different to sheep’s wool, means that it doesn’t hold moisture but allows it to evaporate. This ‘breathability’ means it is temperature reactive, warm in the winter and cool in the summer – a very clever fibre!
