    The item seems defective but I don’t know if it’s this item or the appliance in general; if it were me, I wd just give a refund. Seller referred me to manufacturer and researching that is not worth my time.

    A new unopened item should be covered by a manufacturer's CS. Odd that it wasn't worth your time to contact them but it was worth your time to jump through ebay's hoops and dis me over something that was absolutely not my fault.
