About us
MYOCA/Scrollworks provides low-cost instruction on orchestral instruments, piano and voice to low income, inner city, at risk and disabled children in Birmingham, AL. Instruments are loaned to the children. Our students participate in ensembles and youth orchestra at the historic St. Paul United Methodist Church in the heart of the Civil Rights District. Our diverse faculty and student body end each semester with Beethoven's paean to universal brotherhood, "Ode to Joy".
