Perhaps the guards will stay on if I glue them on, otherwise they are not very useful. The plastic tubing is probably available from medical supply warehouses or hardware stores.

I am not sure how to keep the noodles on the rings -- they seem to slip off fairly easily. These items seem very expensive for something you might be able to get from a medical supplier or a hardware store. I may try gluing the noodles onto my rings to see if that keeps the sizers on.
