About us

I've been thrifting and collecting for 35 years. The first item I ever thrifted was a pair of $2 Levi's from a shop on Main Street in Columbia, MS. I loved the feeling of the find and the comfort of those jeans as they saw me off to college, spent time with me on creek banks, and witnessed big heartbreaks. I know that some people snub their noses at too much stuff, but I love collecting. I had just graduated from college when I got my first piece of Spode Blue Room, and talk about a lightning bolt! Since then, I've surrounded myself with pretty dishes of all kinds, so I know the joy of collecting special things. I also have a thing for pretty, frilly, unusual, & cool things, too! A side note--it's a bonus when old things are made new again and again, hence the name of this little shop.

    Shipping was pretty quick, it was packaged in a plastic mailer bag. I got a silk shirt, and it was as described in the listing. The seller is really good at listing things accurately. It was also on sale so the price was unbeatable and seeing the sale is what prompted me to buy it without any hesitation! The shirt was so thin and light (due to being real silk) honestly could have probably shipped it by lettermail and saved a few bucks, but overall it was a great buy.

    I purchased a bundle of 6 items from this seller. Each was more beautiful than the next. Shipping was super fast and the packaging was very professional. So much so that when I recieved the package, I actually thought it was something I had been expecting from a major retailer. Seller was friendly and responsive, prices were extremely fair, and everything was just as described, or even better than expected.     Legit vintage items, prompt responses to questions, good customer service in resolving issues. There was a misunderstanding regarding state of items (partially my own fault, but she was accommodating nonetheless). Items could have been packaged more carefully - which appeared to result in slight damage in transit, but again, seller was very accommodating after the fact.

    My order happened just as Canada was switching to International shipping to the US. Everything on their end momentarily shut down until 10/1. This seller went out of her way to make certain the items arrived without any surprises, once she was able to ship. She even called FedEx to double-check everything. Canadian FedEx, in turn, called me last evening to make certain I knew to expect my items today—that was something neither of us expected in a million. My order is here! Great job!!!!
