The unit was in new condition; it is the latest model they manufacture and was new. It also came with the 15 X 15" cover. The unit was never installed as the gas connector did not have any pipe dope on it, it was clean. This unit sells for 250.00 more on their web site and would not come with the cover costing 85 dollars more. This is a great buy. If you need a tankless water heater, find the 220 dollars and buy it.
