Learning lapidary and collecting crystals and minerals that started as a hobby 50 years ago has resulted in a large world-wide collection. Agate from Brazil and India as well as US locations. Slices of stalactites, freeform drusy and unique chalcedony rosettes from Uruguay are great for jewelry. Tiny Geodes from Mexico are great for jewelry or the miniaturist. Living in Malawi for awhile, we fell in love with Africa and the wide variety of unique crystals available and have started specializing in crystals from Southern Africa. Malawi has some lovely blue lace agate as well as specimens with smoky quartz, aegirine and feldspar. As Brandberg quartz becomes harder to obtain take a look at the Shangaan smoky amethyst quartz from Chiredzi, Zimbabwe with many of the same characteristics, including scepters, double terminated, and even the occasional enhydro. From South Africa we have thousands of Cactus Crystals in all sizes and price ranges, with many drilled. All ethically sourced.
