About us

Our eBay story started in 1999 after we had our first son and hubby decided he wanted to collect sports cards with his boys. We suddenly found ourselves with cards for teams that we didn't follow and wanted a location to offer fellow collectors a chance to fill out their collections. We were traveling with the U.S. Navy (hubby had enlisted at the end of high school) and in every city we would daydream about a used bookstore; where we would put it and what we would call it. It was several years before we settled on PLR Lost and Found in 2018, and should we ever open a brick-and-mortar location we would giddily hang a sign declaring this name. We are sellers of a pleasant mix of vintage (30+ years old) items with the occasional antiques (100+ years old) and plenty more recent items that deserve a second home, a second life. We hunt for items at auctions, estate sales, yard sales and thrift stores as well as taking consignments from friends and family.
