    Making Spirits Bright is a Metro Detroit Book Bank, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting and providing equitable access to books that brighten the lives of youth while enhancing literacy and fostering a love of learning. Through partnerships that facilitate literacy instruction, we distribute thousands of books directly to children, families and schools across Southeast Michigan.

    While our volunteer team distributes most of our books directly back to the community, we do sell a small portion on - eBay those that are undistributable - to cover our programming costs. Rest assured, 100% of these proceeds go directly back to Making Spirits Bright. We are completely volunteer-run and committed to our mission.
