I mainly sell printing type blocks used in print items in the 1950 to 1960 range. I am a life-long journalist and have always found the technology used for printing to be interesting, so I started collecting type block by purchasing them for printing companies that no longer needed them. It got a little out of hand and I ended up with thousands of them so I decided to "rehome" most of them. Most of them came from southeastern Ohio, although I have purchased a few small groups from elsewhere in the country. Some buyers are using them as they were intended by including them in their printing operation. Others display them in their homes and businesses.
The other item I sell is transportation literature. My dad visited car shows in the New York City area in the late 1940s and picked up the brochures for the different car models. He took them home and put them in boxes, where they sat for the next 50 years. I've now been finding the contents of the boxes for years.
