About us

We exist to preserve the culture of the printed word. The right book getting to the right person. Books - used & rare, all genres.

Established in 1994.

I started selling books under the influence of my uncle, Craig Ross, who was a well known bookman in the Buffalo, NY area. I began as a book scout in the city of Rochester, selling to dealers with open shops. Later, I began issuing printed lists, doing book fairs, and selling on this new thing called the "internet." We've even had two open shops in Narrowsburg, NY and more recently in Nedrow (Syracuse) NY. We enjoy selling bargain books as much as higher end material.

    I received my item with no issues, but a word of advice for the seller. I bought an antique paperback book. It arrived wrapped in tissue paper with two small pieces of cardboard taped on two sides inside a regular priority envelope. Luckily it arrived safely, but books should be wrapped in bubble wrap or some kind of plastic & shipped in a box with extra padding inside. If the envelope had gotten wet or bent during shipping my book would have been ruined. Proper packaging is essential.

    Thanks for the reply. We have been selling used and rare books for over 30 years and ship all items the way you received yours. We have never had an item returned because of water damage.
