  Arrived early in the time frame! Pretty ring. The ring is a big. The stone not a medium purple. It's a darker purple with seeming flaws. At first I was a bit upset at the quality of the stone. But then the the opalescent was quite appealing. The line that looks like a crack follows the edge and the bottom. The top has interesting lines. I love that the stone is a real purple! Pretty sharp rays, but not a strong appearing star with a flashlight. The big ring size is a huge negative factor.

  I like the ring, I wish the star was a little bit more prominent.. which probably could of been done if it was cut a tiny bit smaller. You can definitely see the rough stone specs on the gem which means the gem wasn't cut small enough to remove the grit. So it's obviously a surface cut gem. Either way, even with its imperfects it's very pretty. Just wish it wasn't loose in the setting.. it's going to cost 15-20$ just to have it reseated..
