    The spectroscope came in a bubble shipping envelope. It was covered by a plastic manufacturing wrap. The spectroscope comes with a student instruction booklet,manual. The non kinetic graphing scale uses light rather than movement. I think the spectroscope is worth slightly less than what it costs. It seems the diffraction grating is the actual price. No moving parts means it's less likely to break though. I have a hard time believing it's worth it in modern times. Thanks!
