    DS2E-M-12VDC did not work as a direct replacement of DS2V-M-12VDC because its built in surge protection causes the coil connections to be polarized and, in this case, didn't work for Nakamichi head switching relay without modifications due to required polarity being reversed. It does, however, work well with a simple mod.
