About us

I started reading and collecting comics in the early 1960's when I visited my grandmother in Yountville. My earliest comic books were the Superman and Batman Annuals mainly because they were so thick. A bit later were the Marvels, the 1st Spiderman Annual was my favorite. Also, Famous Monsters' of Filmland, Creepy, Eerie, MAD, you get the idea. Berkeley had at least 3 comic book stores while I attended Cal. I preferred Bud Plant's Comics & Comix where Big Guy worked for a time! A few people sold at the flea markets and a book store in downtown Oakland had short stacks behind the crabby old guy at the counter. All fed my comic book wants and needs. I have enjoyed these experiences very much, but now it is time to pass them along. I appreciate all who have had an interest in my collection. Thank you.
