Worked fine.), by cutting out the oval opening fully. Then the speakers fit and the mounting holes, to my surprise did line up. There are some little protruding metal tabs on the speaker frame that may need to be bent back when fitted to the door panel. Didn't quite get there yet so can't confirm either way, but not a difficult mod at all if needed. Cheers, -- j.
