    I recently learned that these mini-figures, often referred to as “LEGO prototypes,” are typically produced in LEGO factories in China and Mexico by workers. However, they are not officially authorized or approved by the LEGO Group. As a result, they are neither true prototypes nor considered legitimate, sellable LEGO products by the company. Now upon certain websites like bricklink they may not approve these as sellable but high-profile counterfeit mini - figures.
