One battery was tight and hard to remove but it turned out it was because I placed the sticker from the battery door on it and forgot to remove and discard it. However the design of the battery cover does make it awkward to remove and for the Mini 2SE I recommend getting a battery removal tool ($6). The 2SE pauses and holds position very well with very little drift. Very easy to fly.
