Once I get them I soak them overnight in the sink with some vinegar before washing. That gets rid of some of the coating and smell; the rest washes out over time. I always wash cold delicate and hang dry. Once washed a few times these are super soft and SOOOOOOO comfortable, even as a woman. They are warm without making you sweat and not itchy. I wear them all winter long. Fast ship!
