About us
I started Baby Bug Studio in Houston, TX in 2021 as a hobby. As a single mother, I was appalled at the amount of trash our tiny household of 2 produced, and I was tired of seeing so many perfectly good materials go to waste. I found myself constantly looking for ways to save usable resources that seemed destined for the dumpster, so I started repurposing, upcycling, and renewing as much as I could.
Today, our mission is to waste as little as possible and make something beautiful or purposeful in the process. Our vision is a world in which resources are seen for their value and impact prior to production, and the entire life cycle is planned, beginning to end. Our one-of-a-kind crafts and gifts are made from reclaimed wood, leather scraps, fabric remnants, and more. Our textiles and gifts are repurposed and renewed to find new life in a new home. We're not just saving materials from landfills - we're helping to save our environment one item at a time.
