Saw the photo and assumed it was made in Mexico until I read Guatemala. Bought because it is a perfect example of how market influences tradition. In the ‘50’s one could bargain and purchase off the back of the person who made it. By late ‘70’s glitter threads and applied “embroidery” was being used. To survive one must keep up. This is a beautiful hiupil of this day and age and I will be wearing it as the weather gets cooler. Thank you for the careful packaging allowing for fast, safe delivery.

This adorable clip goes well with the 1920’s-era mailbox purchased for use at our 1926 Arts & Crafts house, especially since we live in thoroughbred country. The item was well packaged and arrived on time and at a very good rate (I didn’t need it “tomorrow,” so I didn’t mind the slightly longer shipping time). The brass clip was as described by the seller and available at a good price. I can’t wait to get both the mailbox and the mail clip installed and in use!

These matched some I already own. They are in excellent condition. Seller was kind enough to refund a shipping overage. Shipped promptly. Excellent communication.
