    The bulb socket was well-made and was shipped quickly. However, the socket was 1/32 inch wider than the 100-year-old socket it was replacing, and it wouldn't fit. The website suggested that itema were suitable for antique lamps. In my case, that was not the case. Perhaps the vendor could include dimensions in future listings. I decided to keep the socket despite its having cost 6 times the local hardware store price -- it wasn't worth packing it up and making a trip to the post office.
