    I worried myself for a sec installing it, but first off it came in a little dirty Definitely used before or worked on one or the other. The silver shield (that's what I call it) was dirty so I replaced it with mine more cleaner, so when I first installed it (didn't put the chip in all the way) it didn't work, opened up certain parts of my ps3 and put it in all the way and tried it. Worked immediately.

    Item arrived quickly,well packaged and as described. My only quibble is that these appear to be either aftermarket knockoffs or old asoby seconds that may have been rejected from use. The one I received the plastic face that covers the entire front of the unit does not seem to be fully seated towards the right side I sticks up a bit. Also, the plastics seems to be a bit thicker because the stocks bottuns don't protrude above the face as much as they did in the original screen.
