Using spell check
Before you submit a listing, make sure that it looks professional by using our spell check on your title and description.
Checking the spelling in your listing
To use spell check:
On the listing form, after you enter your title and description, click Check spelling in the Add a description section. The Check spelling window will open.
The spell check will search for the first potentially misspelled word and automatically highlight it. You'll see a list of suggested replacements for the misspelled word. You can change the word by selecting from the suggested replacements, ignore the suggestion, or enter a different spelling in the Change to box. The spell check will then highlight the next potentially misspelled word on the page.
Once spell check is complete, you can either save or cancel all your changes, and then continue creating your listing.
More about spell check
Using spell check is a free way to improve your listings and helps ensure that buyers can find your items when they search for them.
Spell check is available when you list your item, revise your listing, or use the Relist or Sell Similar options.
Spell check does not check HTML.
Spell check will only check the spelling of a word, and not its formatting. For example, if you use bold or italics on a word, the spell check will only show you the word in plain text. However, when you return to the listing form after completing the spell check, your original formatting will be retained.
Note: At this time you can't use spell check to create your own custom dictionary.
