Dealing with Postage Problems
If you have any questions involving postage and handling, eBay recommends that you first communicate directly with the seller. If you still have problems, the following information may help.
Lost or damaged items
If your item was lost or damaged during posting, please request for contact information and call your trading partner to explain the situation and work out a solution.
You should also consider contacting the postage carrier for assistance. The most commonly used postage providers can be contacted at the links provided below:
Note: You can only open a dispute through the specific eBay country site where you purchased the item. If you try to open a dispute on an eBay country site other than the site where you purchased the item, you will be asked to continue your dispute on the appropriate eBay site.
Additionally, if you used PayPal to pay for an eligible eBay item, you may be covered for the full purchase price of your item plus its original shipping costs*. Learn more about PayPal’s Buyer Protection on eBay .
* In the case of a significantly-not-as-described claim, it’s the buyer’s responsibility to pay for return shipping costs, if necessary.
Excessive postage and handling charges
If you have a question about excessive postage and handling charges, refer to eBay’s Excessive Postage Charges policy for more information.
If you have other questions about an item that was lost or damaged during posting, contact eBay.
