Product Information
Winter Games lets you and up to seven friends represent the U.S.A, USSR, U.K., Japan Canada, France, Norway or Sweden in a series of seven competitive Olympic events. The nation that wins the most events takes home the gold medal!

The object of Slalom is to ski as quickly as possible through 36 gates (represented by pairs of flags) that are situated on a course. Turning slows you down a little, but running into objects or other skiers slows your progress considerably.

The Bobsledding competition is a two-man game that has you and your teammate trying to complete the winding course in record time. To increase your speed, you must "bob" the joystick up and down. You should steer into turns, but try to stay off the walls as you will lose speed and could possibly lose control of the sled. Remember, there are no brakes on the sled. The Luge is similar to the Bobsled event, but you won't have a partner helping you steer your sled down the chute.

In the Ski Jumping event, you will speed down a mountain and then jump after you pass a yellow flag near the bottom of the take-off run. The longer you wait to jump (up until a certain point), the farther you will go. You can control your skier's positioning and skies during the "flight." A split-screen shows your skier's position in relation to the hill below.

Entering the Biathlon puts you in an alternating competition of skiing and shooting. You must ski cross-country down a hill, keeping a fast rhythm by jiggling the joystick left and right. After you ski, you'll find yourself on a rifle range where timing and accuracy are of the utmost importance. You'll ski and target shoot a total of three times each before the event comes to a close.

Speed Skating is simply a race to the finish line in which players jiggle the joysticks right and left in rhythm to gain speed. You score big in the Hot Dog event by performing as many skiing acrobatic tricks (such as "daffys," forward flips, "swans" and backward flips) as possible in a limited amount of time.

A practice mode is available if you are not ready to compete or you don't want to enter all the events.Product Identifiers
