Strap on the guise of a master detective in the interactive sleuth game, Who Killed Sam Rupert? You play a police detective assigned to investigate the murder of Sam Rupert, and wealthy Los Angeles restaurateur. You have six hours to break the case, although the six hours are not real time. During your investigation, you can interview witnesses, read autopsy and forensics reports, go over the crime scene, check suspect alibis, and review phone records. Each of these actions takes between 15 and 30 minutes of your allotted six-hour time limit. There are eight major suspects, including Rupert's wife, staff from the restaurant, an angry customer, and a mistress. Each of these suspects has been interviewed by your assistant. You can review those tapes at any time during game play. When you have assembled a case, you must hold a press conference. At the press conference, reporters will ask you ten questions. If you have conducted a thorough investigation, you should know the answers. If you answer seven out of ten questions correctly, you move to Level 2. If you answer fewer than seven correctly, you must continue your investigation and hold another press conference. In Level 2, you must write up an arrest warrant for the suspect you think committed the murder. Based on your evidence, a judge will either approve or reject your request for a warrant. If it is rejected, you must continue your investigation to get more evidence on the prime suspect. If the warrant is approved, the suspect is arrested. If you chose the right one, he or she is convicted. If not, you go back to the investigation.
