Product Information
The Merv Griffin Productions television game show goes interactive once again with Wheel of Fortune: New Third Edition for the Commodore 64. Host Pat Sajak and letter-turner Vanna White are conspicuously absent but nevertheless the show goes on.

Just like in the real show, up to three contestants can play. Players compete to solve the puzzle on the game board by spinning a giant wheel and guessing hidden letters of a person, place, thing, phrase or other category.

After spinning the wheel, you earn the amount of money the pointer indicates multiplied by the number of letters that match your guess, assuming you guess a consonant correctly. You can buy a vowel if you like but it will cost $250. Your turn continues until you guess a letter or the entire puzzle incorrectly, enter a letter that has already been guessed, enter a vowel without buying it first or let ten seconds go by without a response.

Another way your turn can end is if your wheel-spin lands on Bankrupt or Lose A Turn. If you're lucky, the wheel will stop on Free Spin giving you an extra turn that can be used at any time during the same game.

The second and third rounds are played similarly to the first. At the end of three rounds of play, the contestant with the most money enters a bonus round in which he or she chooses five consonants and one vowel and is given 30 seconds to solve the puzzle.Product Identifiers
