The Vivitar DF-283 Shoe Mount Flash is an auxiliary flash with full TTL support for Pentax digital SLR cameras. The flash's built-in slave function allows it to operate when disconnected from the camera for greater flexibility. With the red focus beam, the Vivitar DF-283 Shoe Mount Flash helps the photographer focus the shot in low light. The Vivitar DF-283 preserves battery life with an auto-off element, and a red-eye reduction feature helps prevent flash reflection. This shoe mount flash includes a reflecting plate and wide-angle diffuser for additional shooting capabilities. A flash readiness indicator lets the photographer know when the flash is charged. The Vivitar DF-283 Shoe Mount Flash also has front- and rear-curtain synchronization. With the wide range of options on this device, photographers can shoot in a variety of settings.
