The year is 2009, governments have lost all control and the Dominance War has left the world in a ravished state. With the government out of the power, the impact of massive global companies was significant and none were more significant during the Dominance War than the Jugahu Corporation. The Jugahu Corporation, needing to adopt a new image, funded The TrickStyle Pro Tournament, cashing in on the sport's massive success while also driving the technology for the sport through their hover-ride range of stunt boards. TrickStyle is a futuristic hover-board title where players take control of a character and use them to pull off stunning tricks while under a time limit. The game features a variety of modes of play: Single Player, Two Player, Demos, Options, and VMU Game. There is a total of 15 courses stretched over the futuristic cities of London, Manhattan, and Tokyo. The challenges are spread over four main types: Globe Collection, you have to collect all the globes by performing stunts in some cases; Globe Switching, instead of collecting you have to change all the colors of the globes; Hoop Races, race against the Guide or second player through hoops; and finally Stunt Session, where players must prove their ability to throw down the highest scoring stunts. Once players have selected to play either a one-player or two-player game, they are shifted into the "3DUI," a special three-dimensional interface/menu system where players can choose characters, boards, and be advised by the TrickStyle guide. TrickStyle also features a total of nine characters from across the globe including: Australia, Cuba, Japan, Russia, Jamaica, and the United States. There are also four basic kinds of boards: standard, stunt, turbo, and combat. The in-game interface includes information on race status, time remaining, speed, stunt meter, checkpoint, and a graphical point indicator. TrickStyle also supports the VMU to save games as well as playing the mini-game TrickStyle Junior.
