Toshiba megapixel cameras combine traditional point-and-shoot simplicity with a wide range of sophisticated features to provide for a true photographic experience. Images are stored on SmartMedia, matchbook size flash memory cards that act like resuable rolls of film. The innovative Toshiba FlashPath adapter enables users to quickly and easily upload SmartMedia stored images onto a desktop or laptop through the standard 3.5" floppy disk drive.One of the most critical advantages of the PDR-M4 is a newly-developed Digital Signal Processor (DSP) chip set that extends the battery life, while significantly reducing the time between shots and the burst shot rate. This new DSP technology provides ultra-fast boot times and burst rates for a true photographic experience. The camera also incorporates USB connectivity for fast downloading which is 35 times faster than serial and compatible with Windows 98 and USB-equipped Macintosh computers.
