Tony Hawk's Underground 2,' released in October of 2004 in Europe, is the sixth title in the Tony Hawk series and retains the basic gameplay mechanics from the first Underground game. Players skate through a 3D environment, completing goals in various cities and racking up points. The story takes place a year after the original and starts with the protagonist joining Mr. Hawk's team in a 'World Destruction Tour' competition against rival Team Bam. The tour travels through several international cities, including Barcelona and Berlin, and brings back levels from previous Tony Hawk games. The additional Classic Mode allows players to skate through classic levels in a traditional time-limit mode Pro Skater fans can recognize.
