About this product

Product Information

Tony Hawk: Shred is a 3D extreme sports game that uses a special motion-sensing floor controller, which players ride like a skateboard or snowboard. Players race through steep, downhill courses, full of big ramps, huge gaps, and giant drops. The game's over-the-top attitude sets up exaggerated-action boarding, with players using whole-body control to pull off superhuman tricks. Unlike the more hardcore-influenced Tony Hawk games that dominated the genre through the beginning of the previous decade, 2010's Shred is an all-ages outing, with content that caters to younger gamers. Players steer by leaning left or right, as on an actual skateboard or snowboard, and perform special moves with well-timed balance shifts. Modes of play include "Trick," "Point Rush," and "Challenge," and multiple difficulty settings are available. Players can create their own custom characters, or ride as pro skateboarders such as Tony Hawk, Lyn-z Adams Hawkins, and Corey Duffel, and snowboarders including Travis Rice, Louie Vito, and Olympic Gold Medalist Torah Bright. The game can be played using the Tony Hawk: Ride skateboard controller or the Tony Hawk Shred Board Controller, each sold separately.
