This rep is largely due to singer Schuylar Croom's vocals--at times recalling the faux-Christian bombast of Bono or Scott Stapp--which eschew the nihilistic indulgences of most screamo frontmen. And the balls-to-the-wall heaviness of the rest of the band only bolsters Croom's emotive clarity, particularly guitarist Adam Tanbouz, who shreds riffs like a man afire.
