Star Wars: The Arcade Game is Parker Brothers' take on Atari's classic Arcade vector graphic entry that thrilled fans of the movie in 1983. All of the levels have been reconstructed for play on your Atari 2600, as you once again -- now at home -- attempt to destroy the Death Star. <br><br>Through the eyes of Luke Skywalker in control of an X-wing fighter, you'll start out by encountering a relentless attack by Imperial TIE fighters. Aim your photon cannons (visible on the lower left and right portions of your screen) at the enemies and their fireballs to shoot them down and rack up the points. Failure to avoid enemy fire will result in the loss of one of your eight energy shields. You might even get the chance to blast away at Darth Vader and drastically increase your total. <br><br>Then, progress to the Death Star surface as you dodge and destroy laser towers and their fireballs. Finally, you must navigate the Death Star's equatorial trench, avoiding catwalks and shooting fireballs in the process. At the end of the trench run lies the main reactor port, which you must destroy in order to save the Rebel Alliance and become a hero. After blowing up the battle station, a more difficult version of the same game tests your oneness with the Force once again.
