Based on the mythology created by the 2009 film franchise reboot of the same name, Star Trek is a co-op shooter that puts players in control of Kirk and Spock as they battle Gorn foes through large spacecraft, on alien planets, and in the vacuum of space. Multiplayer fans can team up with a friend for local or online action, while solo gamers control one character as the AI takes charge of the other. In combat Kirk uses his phaser to stun enemies, while Spock employs his Vulcan nerve pinch and mind meld, as well as a weapon that freezes foes.<br><br>The Gorn enemies come in various sizes and level of lethality, with some capable of infecting Kirk and Spock with a venom that can make them hallucinate, or even kill them. In addition to firefights with reptilian foes, players can commandeer enemy spacecraft, explore alien jungles and waterways, and leap from ship to ship through zero-gravity zones. Star Trek also features fully voiced dialogue from Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, the actors who play Kirk and Spock in the films.
