The Sony STR-DG820 receiver is the key to the world of blu-ray discs, HD video quality and a home theater system. The Sony 110-watt receiver is packed with unique features. The Sony 110-watt receiver has surround sound systems which are enhanced by Digital Cinema, Sound EX, and Neural Sound. The receiver system has four sound zone fields, including cinema, music, auto format decoding and 2-channel. The Sony STR-DG820 channel receiver has seven channels that output a total power of 770 watts. This 7.1-channel receiver has a number of audio and video decoders, which include Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Digital surround and DTS 96/24. The Sony 110-watt receiver has an XM digital radio tuner band which is able to lock on to both AM and FM frequencies. The Digital Media Port allows connectivity of various other devices to be connected to the receiver, including iPods and Walkman MP3 players. Additional features present in the 7.1-channel receiver include an A-B speaker switch, auto sound calibration, and an optimizer microphone.
