Product Information
Shanghai Pocket allows enthusiasts of the classic tile-based game to partake in three different modes of play: Shanghai, Kong Kong, and Gold Rush. Shanghai features 12 stages in total, each based on an animal, as players move a cursor along the screen while trying to match pairs of tiles. The goal is to remove all 144 tiles on the screen within a time limit of seven minutes. The default tile set consists of two distinct themes: seasons and flowers, but players are free to change the graphics to winds and dragons, Arabic numerals, Roman numerals, or squares. Other customization options include difficulty level, time, and whether or not music plays in the background.

Kong Kong is a competitive game played with a Game Link Cable. Players receive points for each pair they remove from the screen, and the winner is either the first person to clear the board or the first to avoid becoming deadlocked, which means there are no more matches. Wrinkles on the standard game include attack tiles and two types of defense tiles. Clearing a pair of attack tiles, represented by swords, automatically sends tiles to an opponent. Defense tiles consist of shields and cure ampoules, with the former blocking an attack and the latter adding time on the clock. Gold Rush is played in a similar manner to Kong Kong, but the goal is to be the first to reach the buried "Golden Tile."Product Identifiers
