Product Information
Lovable Elmo is back for another Game Boy Color title to help preschoolers learn and maybe have a little fun at the same time. The famous Sesame Street character aims to teach four concepts, all centered on mathematics: addition, counting, subtraction, and number recognition. Elmo is welcoming visitors from Planet Zap, but first he'll need help counting stars.

The four games include "How Many Stars," "Beam That Number," "Adding Countdown," and "Take It Away, Stars!" The first involves counting stars left behind by a streaking spaceship. Numerals from one to nine appear along the bottom of the screen, and the object is to match the stars with the corresponding number. Each correct answer lights up a section of Sesame Street; once five patterns are matched, the game ends with Elmo strutting down the sidewalk.

"Beam That Number" has Elmo beaming a spotlight over three different patterns. The object is to pick the group corresponding to the number in the screen's lower right corner. Succeed three times and two rockets will launch into space. Both addition and subtraction games involve selecting the appropriate numeral to complete the equation presented at the top of the screen.

In the addition game, Elmo flies on a jetpack to present three equations; when all three are answered correctly, the game ends with a single rocket blasting off. The subtraction game also offers three different equations, with each successful answer bringing players one step closer to watching the rocket ship return to Planet Zap. As with Elmo's ABCs, Elmo's 123s is recommended for children ages three to six.Product Identifiers
