The Seagate Constellation ES.3 1TB ST1000NM0033 hard disk drive (HDD) is an internal 3.5-inch, Searial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) hard drive from Seagate that is optimized for bulk-data applications and, thus, is geared for the enterprise. Powered by Seagate’s sixth-generation drive technology with Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and SATA interfaces, the Seagate Constellation ES.3 hard drive boasts enterprise-class performance and 24/7 reliability. The Seagate Constellation ES.3 uses a SATA 6 GB/sec interface and has a 128mb cache, allowing for a maximum sustained data transfer rate of up to 175 megabytes per second (MB/s). Couple that with a spindle speed of 7200rpm and best-in-class rotational vibration tolerance and you get a Seagate hard drive that is capable of consistently fast read-write operations and an average latency of 4.16 milliseconds, much like a Solid State Drive (SSD). Enhanced error correction, super parity, and end-to-end SAS-based data integrity allows for accurate data storage.
